Clint Imboden is a Bay Area artist who works primarily with found objects and transforms them through the interplay of psychology and political dialogue. His work is painstakingly produced with a keen eye for the subtleties of specific material use and the inherent and inherited meaning of frequently “loaded” imagery.
His newest work continues to explore this negotiation and the delicate “balance” by which concepts and beliefs are maintained in a world where chaos is the implied result of objects used in an unfamiliar and intellectually challenging manner.
"... I’m drawn to old materials because they foster purposeful imperfection in my art, an attribute that’s connected to their previous lives. I use them for their connotative, associative or narrative possibilities. My installation work is tactile and handmade; as an artist, I focus on process and on topical, issue-based content."
